Invitation Letter from the Chairmen of GSA
Dear colleagues and friends,
due to the ongoing pandemia Paris International Shoulder Course (PISC) has been postponed to 2022. Since we cannot meet in person this year our goal was to develop a new virtual concept in order to educate shoulder surgeons from all over the world.
Global Shoulder Arthroplasty (GSA) represents a 24 hours journey through all continents with a special focus on the expertise of different countries. After departure, we will start in Australia and slowly but surely move west to Japan, Korea, China, Middle East, India and Eastern Europe. During this first part of the journey world-renowned experts from each country will cover special aspects on primary and revision shoulder arthroplasty, the management of complications after proximal humeral fractures, modern strategies for cuff tear arthropathies and revision concepts for failed reverse shoulder arthroplasties. After arriving in Europe two live-surgeries will be transmitted from Paris followed by lectures and case presentations from our South African colleagues on the treatment of glenoid deformities and experts from Europe on humeral head replacement and the management of the infected shoulder arthroplasty. We will leave Europe to continue our trip to Latin America, Canada and the US to teach you on shoulder arthroplasty options in patients with an intact cuff, arthritis in the young individual and learn more about the North-American concepts for glenoid and humeral loosening. Before the end of our journey we will award the best re-live surgery video from each participating country and we will finish our trip with shoulder experts from New Zealand.
Join as virtually and get the experience of 24 hours Global Shoulder Arthroplasty.
We are looking forward to welcome you to this very special event.
