David P. Roye Jr.

Dr. Med. David P. Roye Jr. (Chinese name: Dewei Luo) is the Tenured Honorary Professor, Department of Medicine, Columbia University and the first Director of Pediatric Orthopedics, New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley-Komansky Children's Hospital. Besides, he is also the founder and first Director of Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center of Columbia University and the Former President of International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT), North America. As the academician of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and American Academy of Pediatrics, he also holds the position of Founding President and CEO of International Healthcare Leadership (IHL) and CMO of JuniperMD. Currently, Prof. Roye holds his position in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, Shantou University Guangzhou Huaxin Orthopaedic Hospital.
In 2009, Prof. Roye won the Humanitarian Award of AAOS and he has won the title of “the Best Orthopaedic Surgeon” in New York Metropolitan Area for 8 consecutive years from 2002 to 2009. Besides, he has won the Best American Doctor Award from 2017 to 2018.
Clinical focus
Prof. Roye has profound clinical experience in Pediatric Orthopedics over 40 years, such as pediatric spine deformities, cerebral palsy, hip dysplasia and various musculoskeletal diseases. In particular, he is experienced in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS) and adolescent neuromuscular scoliosis as well as pediatric cerebral palsy, on which he enjoys a great reputation worldwide.

Prof. Li Xu, postdoctoral in Medicine, is the master tutor of Shantou University. As a renowned expert in Pediatric Orthopedics in China and the Director of the Children’s Limb Deformity Orthopedic Center, Guangdong Institute of Orthopedics. Currently Prof. Li Xu is the President, Associate Chief Physician and Director of Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, Shantou University Guangzhou Huaxin Orthopaedic Hospital.

Prof. Li Xu is the member of Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific Pediatric Orthopaedic Society(APPOS), Associate Director of the first and second session of Pediatric Orthopedics Committee, Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, member of Pediatric Traumatology and Deformity Group, Chinese Orthopaedic Association, standing member of Orthopaedic Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and the Director of Pediatric Orthopedics Group. Besides, he is the Associate Director of Pediatric Orthopedics Scientific Group of International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT), China, the Vice-Director of Congenital Limbs Deformity Group of the Reparative and Reconstructive Surgery Committee, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine. And he is also the Director of Deputy-Synthes Southern Pediatric Orthopedics Center of AO Trauma as well as the lecturer of AO Trauma Pediatric Orthopedics, China.

Prof. Li Xu is experienced in the spectrum as followed: various surgical treatment of severe and complex trauma and sequela of pediatric osteoarticular system; developmental dysplasia of the hip; cerebral palsy; talipes equinovarus and other congenital pediatric disorders and acquired complex limb deformities; various sequelaes of bone diseases; perthes disease; myogenic torticollis; musculoskeletal cancer; various rare and difficult diseases of limbs.

Dr. Med.Yan Hua is an Outstanding Middle-Young-Aged Doctor in the field of Pediatric Orthopedics. Currently, he is the Associate Chief Physician and Vice Director of Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, Shantou University Guangzhou Huaxin Orthopaedic Hospital, and he is experienced in treating pediatric cerebral palsy, ankle and limbs trauma, etc. In 2009, he graduated from the 8-year-course of Peking Union Medical College, then he joined the Orthopaedic Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University from 2009 to 2018, since then he has been worked at the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, Shantou University Guangzhou Huaxin Orthopaedic Hospital.
