Schön Klinik München Harlaching has a history of 105 years, the supreme orthopedic hospital, being regarded as “a cradle of orthopedics”. China Tour of German Orthopedic Masters in March

In March, five international orthopedics masters will arrive at five IIIA-Grade hospitals to work as visiting professors.
They will work at five hospitals for five and a half days respectively. The contents include outpatient clinic, ward rounds, conducting training for the team, training on the management of the department, complicated cases discussion, surgery instructions, procedure and open academic classes.

Introduction:
Prof. Dr. med. Markus Walther is Head of the Department of Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Orthopaedic Hospital Munich Harlaching and Medical Director of Schön Klinik München Harlaching and FIFA Medical Centre Munich.
He has published over 50 papers on sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, hospital management and he has received multiple scientific awards, including the Arthur-Vick-Award, the DEGUM-Award and the Michael-Jaeger-Award.
He was member of the board of the Society of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine for several years. He was International Fellow of the American Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) and is active member in the German, the European, the American and the International Foot and Ankle Society. He is also Member of GRECMIP and the International Cartilage Repair Society. He is board member of the German Association for Foot and Ankle Surgery and was serving as president from 2012 - 2016.
His current scientific work focuses on biomechanics, traumatology and reconstructive surgery of foot and ankle, as well as minimal invasive surgery. He has a special focus on sports injury and cartilage reconstruction.
Since 2015 Prof. Walther is member of the medical team of the premiere league soccer team FC Bayern Munich and is consulted by multiple sports professionals. He is Professor for Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Wuerzburg, Germany and is ranked as one of the top foot and ankle specialist in the country.

Professor Daniel J. Rosenthal was born in Argentina and completed his medical education in Argentina. After graduation, he studied further at Frankfurt University in Germany. From 1992 to 1996, he was Head of staff and Vice Director
(Klinik für Neurochirugie, Klinikum der Johann Wolfgang Goethe- Universität, Frankfurt am Main, Germany). At the same time, he has many titles in multinational associations, such as the former president of German Spine Society (Deutsche Wirbelsäulengesellschaft, DWG).
