2013年冬天与儿子在巴黎小住，有天晚上在酒店门口遇见一家三口在乞讨，他们是来自叙利亚的难民，衣服肮脏不堪。头发还有尘土，鞋子全是水。我感觉他们又累又疲惫。我马上给了50欧元让他们赶紧吃饭，晚上我们回酒店时，他们还在那儿，他们一家三口远远地向我们行注目礼，他们三人把手放在胸口，向我们致敬。他们一家即使身处人生至暗时刻，我觉得他们无比高贵，他们的眼中满含感激之情。也许他们过去也有很好的职业，也许他们也有过幸福的时光。战争让他们跌入了人生的低谷。我相信他们未来会变好。一个人人格高贵内心高雅与否与金钱无关，我也见过很多很多有钱的人粗俗无理甚至连最基本的礼仪都不会。我去了全世界48个国家，见过了无数萍水相逢的路人，我越发厌恶战争，它不应成为美西方捞钱杀人的手段。战争是全人类教育的失败。
In winter of 2013, my son and I had a short stay in Paris. One night, we met a family of three begging for food at the gate of the hotel we stayed. They were refugees from Syria. Their clothes were dirty and worn-out. Dust were in their hair. And their shoes were full of water. I could see that they were tired and even exhausted, so I gave them 50 euros for a meal right away. Later when we went back to the hotel, they were there again. The family greeted us with eyes from a distance, placing their hands on their chest and showing respects for us. Although the family hit the lowest point of their lives, I can tell that they had a noble personality from the full gratitude in their eyes. They might have a decent job and live a happy life before. Though the war dragged them to the lowest point in their lives, I believe they would have a brighter future. Whether a person is noble with an internal honor has nothing to do with their wealth. I have met a lot of people who are rich but rude, even know nothing about basic etiquette. I have been to 48 countries in the world and have met countless people by chance. And I hate wars more and more. They shouldn’t be used as a tool for America or some other Western countries to dredge for money or kill people. Wars reflect the failure in education of the whole mankind.
